Full-mouth All-on-4 dental implants – upper jaw
Full-mouth dental implants, also known as All-on-X dental implants, are an advanced tooth replacement solution for patients who have lost all or most of their teeth in one or both jaws. The treatment involves placing 4 to 8 titanium dental implants into the jawbone to replace missing tooth roots, followed by the attachment of a fixed dental bridge or prosthesis through abutments.
Compared with traditional removable dentures, full-mouth dental implants provide greater chewing stability, natural-looking aesthetics, long-term durability and support for jawbone preservation.
All-on-4 full-mouth restoration uses four dental implants in one jaw, including two straight implants in the anterior region and two angled implants in the posterior region. This approach maximizes the use of the available jawbone and may help avoid extensive bone grafting or sinus lift procedures.
It is suitable for patients with complete tooth loss who may not have sufficient bone volume or overall conditions for conventional implant placement.
All-on-6 full-mouth dental implants use six implants in one jaw, including four implants in the anterior region and two in the posterior region. The additional implants provide a stable foundation and help distribute chewing forces more evenly for secure prosthetic support.
All-on-6 may be suitable for patients with significant jawbone loss or reduced bone quality in the posterior region who require additional implant support.
Full-mouth dental implants are an advanced restorative solution that can help restore chewing function close to that of natural teeth, prevent jawbone loss, enhance smile aesthetics and provide long-lasting results.
Unlike removable dentures, which provide only around 30–40% of natural chewing force, titanium implants anchored in the jawbone can help restore more than 90% of chewing force, allowing you to enjoy your favorite foods with greater confidence.
Through biological osseointegration with the jawbone, dental implants help reduce bone loss and support the underlying facial structure, helping maintain a more youthful facial appearance and a confident smile.
Full-mouth implant restorations are securely fixed to dental implants, providing enhanced stability compared with removable dentures. This can help improve speech clarity and confidence when communicating.
Although the initial cost of full-mouth dental implants may be higher than removable dentures, implants are designed as a long-term tooth replacement solution and may last for many years or even a lifetime with proper care.
Implant-supported prosthetic teeth are carefully crafted to resemble natural teeth. The streamlined design also makes daily oral hygiene easier while overcoming some of the limitations associated with traditional removable acrylic dentures.

Missing posterior teeth and jawbone loss can significantly reduce biting and chewing efficiency, making it difficult to properly break down food and potentially affecting digestion.
Multiple missing front teeth or tooth shifting caused by long-term tooth loss can alter the appearance of your smile and contribute to premature facial aging.

At Platinum Dental, patient safety comes first. The entire treatment process follows a controlled workflow and is closely monitored in accordance with Ministry of Health standards.
The dentist conducts a comprehensive examination, evaluates your oral health and performs a Cone Beam 3D CT scan to assess jawbone density and volume in the implant area.
Based on the results, the dentist develops a detailed treatment plan covering the appropriate implant system, number of implants required, treatment timeline and estimated cost.
Before surgery, your overall health is reassessed and local anesthesia is administered to ensure comfort throughout the procedure.
The dentist then places the dental implants into the jawbone according to the planned positions. With advanced digital technology and surgical techniques, implant placement can be performed efficiently, precisely and with minimal invasiveness.
Immediately after implant placement, dental impressions are taken to design the temporary teeth.
The temporary restoration is placed over the implant area to maintain aesthetics and chewing function while waiting for the fixed temporary prosthesis, which is typically provided 2–3 days after implant placement.
After approximately 2–3 days, the patient receives a fixed temporary restoration, which is worn for approximately 4–6 months while the implants integrate with the jawbone.
Follow-up appointments are scheduled to monitor healing, osseointegration and any potential complications. Attending follow-up appointments as scheduled helps ensure implant stability and readiness for the final restorative stage.
After approximately 4–6 months, depending on individual healing and the selected implant system, once the implants have successfully integrated with the jawbone, the dentist places the permanent ceramic crowns using abutments.
At Platinum Dental, the crowns are custom-designed according to each patient’s facial proportions to achieve a harmonious, natural appearance and comfortable chewing function.
Full-mouth implant restoration consists of two main stages.
– During the first stage, approximately 3 hours after implant placement, patients can receive an immediate temporary restoration.
– During the second stage, a fixed temporary restoration is provided after approximately 3 days.
Once the implants have successfully integrated with the jawbone, usually after approximately 4–6 months, the final fixed restoration can be completed to support long-term chewing function
